The McLaren Vale Vintage & Classic Art Exhibition begins on
Friday 16 March, with the official opening of the by the Mayor of
the City of Onkaparinga at 3pm on 17 March. Drinks and nibbles
will be served from 2:30pm.
Local artists will be exhibiting their work based on the theme of
Vintage and Classic.
The McLaren Vale Vintage & Classic Dinner will be held at
Serafino McLaren Vale on the evening of 28 April. This is a
great opportunity to relax and talk with other like minded car
enthusiasts and enjoy a night of entertainment compared by local
motoring enthusiast and winery owner Tony Parkinson with great
food and wine.
There will be raffles and give-aways during the night.
Sunday 29 April
The day starts with the parade down the main street of McLaren
Vale. The street is closed for the hour long parade from 11 am until
12 noon. Thousands of people line the street to get a close view of
the incredible range of vehicles driving past; cars, vans, and
motorbikes with a flyover by vintage Biplanes. Participants will be
given a car badge struck for the event and a handbook with
participants names and information about the event
Drivers then head out to participating wineries to display their
vehicles for the afternoon, picnicking and enjoying the facilities.
Visitors can wander around the wineries viewing their favourite
vehicles whilst taking in the art and sampling local produce at many
venues.
